Claudia Junker is since November 2010 the General Counsel of Deutsche Telekom and heading the legal department (DT Legal).

Since 2012 Claudia also teaches at Cologne University. She publishes regularly, e.g. as a co-author of a commentary on corporate law. She is also active in the executive committee of the German Federal Association of Inhouse Lawyers (Bundesverband der Unternehmensjuristen), the board of the European General Counsel Association, the Committee for Economy and Law and the professional law committee of the German Lawyers’ Association. Before joining Deutsche Telekom she worked for many years as lawyer in private practice and specialized in corporate law (including M & A). During that time she often worked for Deutsche Telekom. She studied law in Germany, Switzerland (Geneva) and the US. She holds a Ph.D. from Heidelberg University and an LL.M. from Cornell University.

Dr. Junker is convinced that the lawyers‘ world, step by step, has to leave traditional working methods behind to cope with the ever increasing demands. To also have an organizational frame for that, since 2016, DT Legal has a Chief Legal Tech Officer.
